What Are You Selling?

Your business is to provide products to consumers, as long as we agree on this point then the following article should be pretty easy to understand and agree with.

Whether you drive more sales through your brick and mortor location or website, the reality is that consumers are very comfortable with using the internet to help them make choices in their buying patterns even if their final purchase is not compelted online.

What should this mean to a business?  This should mean that you take a second look at your website.  Not only the structure and vistor experience but at the type of products that you are offering.

This is not your grandpa/grandma's world when it comes to commerce.  If you're not able or willing to spend the time to keep up with trends and technology then you can rest assured that a new group of business owners will be enticing your customers with what those customers are really looking to expereince and purchase.

Take a look at your products, displays and marketing and make sure you're not stuck in the past......... and when I talk past I'm not talking decades.  Our consumers get hot and cold very quickly these days.  You don't want to be left questioning a drop in sales before you take a look at what people are looking to purchase this month.

One recommendation to stay on top of what is hot and moving and what is not so much a top mover, would be social media.  Find out what people are talking about, wheter that is a new product or a product that is seasonal.  Know what sells and when.
